Graham Rahal scored his first top-three starting position in Houston last season but contact took him out of the race with one lap to go when trying to take the lead away from Raphael Matos. He was scored 15th on the final results sheet.
Al Unser III also saw his race end due to contact. Starting 21st, the third generation Unser hit the tire wall on Lap 31 and ended the day 23rd on the charts.

Looking toward Houston:
Ricci: “After a good finishing position in Long Beach, I am anxious to move up the grid this weekend in Houston. I am still getting used to street circuits but every weekend I feel more comfortable and I am able to take more risks. My goal this weekend is to earn more valuable points.”
Lee: “In Long Beach I felt I could have done better had I been able to move out of my qualifying position. However, I am determined to use this weekend in Houston as an opportunity to move back into the top ten. Since this is my third week in a row on the road, I still have the momentum from the last two weekends because there was not a break in between races and I am going to use that to my advantage.”
About Houston:
Houston, being the 4th largest city in the United States, is home to professional athletic teams such as the Houston Astros MLB team, the Houston Rockets NBA team, the Houston Comets WNBA team and the Houston Texans NFL team. Although all of these teams attract a lot of attention to the city throughout the year, the Grand Prix brings in a more diverse community of not only American race fans but international race fans as well.
